I live in Brno/Czech Republic (Czechia). I am a scientist (molecular biology) studying DNA and human cells in relation to cancer. Underwater photography became a part of my life since I purchased a small compact camera for liverboard diving in the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. However, my recent „pet“ is Canon 80D/Ikelite housing („fish eye“, 60mm and 100mm macro lenses). I obtained several awards in underwater photography contests (some of my photos are processed by creative tools, by combination of underwater photography and digital design to create captivating – sometime surrealist – images, see Section “Creative photography”). My photos and articles are regularly published in scuba diving magazines.
