Land of gods, demons and smiling people
Bali is one of the seventeen thousand islands of the Indonesian archipelago. Balinese life is closely linked to religion, and due to the numerous Hindu deities, there is a reason to celebrate almost every day. Bali is considered to be one of the best diving sites, whether for diving with large giants, or with the smallest, barely visible sea creatures. In the west or northeast of Bali, the currents are relatively small and these dive sites have become a paradise for underwater photographers of small critters dwelling on the volcanic seabed (“muck diving”). The wild Indian Ocean and strong currents in the Lombok Strait bring nutrients attracting large animals.
