Michal Štros is a Czech biologist, scientist and underwater photographer who has been diving for more than 20 years. He has travelled all over the world and visited many top dive sites. It wasn’t until his first dive on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia that he developed a passion for underwater photography. Michal has won multiple awards for underwater photography (such as in the Ocean Art 2000 and Ocean Art 2021 and in the PAF TACHOV International Festival of Underwater Photos and Films ). Some of his underwater photos have been creatively processed in graphic editing programs (see the 2nd edition of his book ‘The Silent World through the Lens of Underwater Art Photography). Michal´s photos are regularly featured in exhibitions and published in diving magazines such as the UK’s DIVE and OCEANOGRAPHIC magazines.
