Michal Štros is a Czech biologist, scientist, and underwater photographer who has more than 25 years of diving experience. He has traveled the world and visited many of the top dive sites. However, it wasn’t until his first dive on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia that he developed a passion for underwater photography. He has won multiple awards for his photography, including at the Ocean Art 2020 and Ocean Art 2021, as well as at the International Festival of Underwater Photography and Films PAF Tachov. Some of his underwater photos have been creatively processed in graphic editing programs (see the 2nd edition of his book ‘The Silent World through the Lens of Underwater Art Photography). Michal´s photos are regularly featured in exhibitions and published in diving magazines such as the UK’s DIVE and OCEANOGRAPHIC magazines.
